Big O Music Fest lineup announced | Arts & Culture
The entertainment for the 2013 Big O Music Fest has been set. The event will include emerging superstar Jake Owen, along with Justin Moore, Love and Theft, Colt Ford, regional favorite Locash Cowboys, and more.
More than 10,000 fans turned out for last year's event.
“We wanted to get back to our roots for 2013, and pack our lineup with hot, and current, acts. We are very excited to bring such a powerhouse lineup to Owensboro. From the very first note played, everyone will be on their feet. This lineup will certainly get the crowd going,“ said promoter Steve Terry.
The date for The Big O Music Fest is August 31. The event will be held at Reid’s Orchard on Hwy 144 in Owensboro. The gates open at noon, and the music kicks off at 1:00.
“We really wanted to expand on the success of last year’s show, and bring an even better quality event to Owensboro. With all that’s happening in the city right now, we believe The Big O Music Fest can be a big part in helping Owensboro become a true destination city. We sold tickets to at least 44 states last year. And with the amount of marketing we plan on doing, and with all we’ve learned the last few years, our goal is to surpass that with this year’s event.” said Terry.
The event will be a true festival atmosphere with food, drinks, t-shirt and souvenir sales, and great country music. There will be two levels of tickets, with a VIP area for those wanting more amenities, and closer access to the stage.
“We want people to come out and enjoy our great festival. With the huge stage, and the sound and lights, it’s really something to see. Our plans are to continue The Big O Music Fest as an annual event, and to grow our lineup every year. Things are really moving fast,” says Terry.
