The bakery was one of five around the country chosen to win the award. They also won in 2001, 2007 and 2012. Great Harvest of Owensboro was also recognized for the second time as one of the top five earning bakeries of over 220 Great Harvest bakeries nationwide.
“Owensboro bakery owner Greg Garrard and his great baking team were up against some of the finest bread artisans in the country,” said Mike Ferretti, president of Great Harvest Franchising, Inc. “It felt great to recognize them for their skill in crafting a superior product. They love what they do and take such pride in offering the tastiest whole grain products to their neighborhood every day. And this award recognizes their constant dedication to their community and entrepreneurial spirit.”
The Owensboro bakery is known for its support of non-profit organizations through the “One Day, One Dollar, One Goal” program as well as other local organizations.
