YoLo set to open on Frederica; offers yogurt, local toppings | Business

Memphis-based premium dessert shop YoLo will open its first Kentucky location in Owensboro at 2680 Frederica Street. The store is scheduled to open in mid-October.

YoLo offers self-serve frozen yogurt while partnering with local bakeries, farmers and food vendors in order to offer locally produced sides and toppings that provide a taste of the community.

Adding to the YoLo concept, the Owensboro store will feature homemade Italian gelato that YoLo will customize with local ingredients. The shop also will have a variety homemade baked goods from a variety of local vendors and free Wi-Fi for guests.

The Owensboro location also will offer catering and facility rental options for special events and birthday parties.

“Owensboro is a great community – one that all of us at YoLo are excited to expand into,” said Taylor Berger, co-owner of YoLo. “We strive to embrace the communities we operate in, and Owensboro makes that easy to do because of its friendly mentality.
