Owensboro man with terminal cancer hopes benefit will pay off car | Community Spirit

Friends and family are inviting the public to help a local family in need.
Medical expenses are piling up for Pat Walls, who is battling stage 4 terminal cancer and proceeds from the event go toward fulfilling “Pat’s Bucket Wish”, which is simply to pay off the remaining $3,500 debut on a small car so his wife can keep it.
A concert and benefit are planned for Ben Hawes Park is set for this Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. at Ben Hawes State Park.
Food will be available from noon until 2.
The Owensboro Fire Department will pass out helmets to kids from noon to 2 pm. and allow them to climb aboard one of their big trucks.
Several members of the "Owensboro Balloon Twisters" will be creating shapes and surprises out of balloons from 1 until 3 p.m. twisting those balloons with their skilled hands making animal shapes or some other surprises, from balloons.
A raffle and drawing are planned for items such as:

If it rains, the party will move to the three open pavilions at the park.
Directions:
Hwy 60 West Approx. 2 miles out of Owensbor, turn right at a church, the brand new LARGE Ben Hawes Park sign on the RIGHT. Following the road it will lead you straigh to where the fun is. Playground area for children as well and plenty of running room.
If needed there will be an additional parking area opened at the backside of the park.
