Police: Teens responsible for Owensboro burglaries | Crime
A teenager has been arrested in connection with several burglaries in Owensboro.
Police say early Tuesday morning, they located a 17-year-old juvenile in the 300 block of E. Parrish Avenue who had been reported missing on Monday and found several items that were later identified as having been stolen from various locations in the city.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives say the teen was responsible for these burglaries:
• April 15 – Cheri Care, 1726 Sweeney St.
• April 15-Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church, 1400 Breckenridge St.
• April 16 - Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 1120 Woodlawn Ave.
• March 9 and 20 - Sweeney Street Baptist Church, 1626 Sweeney St.
A second juvenile, 16 years old, has also been charged with the burglary at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 1120 Woodlawn Avenue. At this time, a laptop computer and credit card have been recovered.
