Kidcentric Sports bringing in ex-Colt Joe Ehrmann for clinic, rally | Events

The man Parade Magazine dubbed “The Most Important Coach in America” will visit Owensboro on Saturday, July 28.

Former college All-American and Baltimore Colts’ defensive lineman, Joe Ehrmann, will present a coaching workshop for Owenboro’s Kidcentric Sports from 8:30 a.m. to noon at The Summit. The workshop is designed to help coaches define their purpose, mission statement, values and goals. Participants will leave this intense half day with:

• Key elements necessary for coaches to formulate a clear coaching philosophy

• Basic components for building an InSideOut Coaching system

• Feeling of being enabled to make a life changing impact on players, other coaches and your communities of influence

Ehrmann will also speak at an Owensboro Youth Sports Rally that evening at the Owensboro Sportscenter from 7 to 9 p.m.

Ehrmann’s revolutionary yet simple message provides the insight, empathy and tools to redefine sports and reframe coaching to positively impact players, leagues, schools and the community for a lifetime. Ehrmann is the subject of the New York Times bestseller Season of Life by Jeffrey Marx and released his own book InSideOut Coaching: How Sports Can Transform Lives in 2011.

The coaching workshop enrollment of $55 includes a copy of Ehrmann’s book. Preregistration is required.
