Veteran? Ask questions, connect with employers in Owensboro at Summit | Events

In support of Veterans Day, Owensboro Community & Technical College will host a free Veterans Summit from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at the OCTC Downtown Campus, 1501 Frederica St.

Veterans will learn how to get the most out of their VA benefits; have hands-on computer time to learn how to navigate the VA web site www.va.gov; and connect with industry professionals from local companies that hire veterans such as Kimberly Clark, Domtar, Glenmore and Unilever.

Larry Wheatley, Local Veterans Employment Representative for the Green River Area, will conduct the summit.

Refreshments will be provided.
