Farm City Breakfast set for Saturday in Owensboro | Events

The 34th annual Farm City Breakfast will be held this Saturday.

It starts at 7:30 a.m. at Apollo High School on Tamarack Road in Owensboro. 

A panel of local farmers and businessmen will address challenges and opportunities that both groups face in Daviess County. 

Local farmer Rod Kuegel and developer Malcolm Bryant are part of that panel. They'll cover topics dealing with rural and urban development.

The Farm City Humanitarian Award will also be presented at the breakfast. 

It's given to someone who stands out as a result of things like leadership, family activities, community and civic service.

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Daviess County Farm Bureau are hosting the event.

Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the Chamber, located at 200 East 3rd Street or the Farm Bureau Office, located at 3329 Wathens Crossing.
