Stop Senior Hunger drive delivers to over 300

Dozens of volunteers fanned out across Daviess and Hancock counties this week to make deliveries to over 300 needy senior citizens.

Nearly four tons of canned goods and other nonperishable food items were donated by shoppers at local supermarkets throughout April; and an additional $1,900 in cash was collected.

“We’re overwhelmed by the response,” said Levi Reames, owner of Comfort Keepers of Owensboro. “Once again this year, the community showed its heart for its less fortunate neighbors.”

My name is Tristan and they are going to  euthanized  me on 4-23 if I doesn't get out! I'm only 1 year old and my life will be over..I'm so scared. For some reason I don't seem to care for other dogs but I'm great with kids and love to play.

The posted photo is of Meredith who was brought in as an owner surrender when her owners cold no longer take care of her. She is a very pretty dog with a lot of energy. She is a very nice and sweet natured girl. She is only about a year old. She will do great with a home where she can be taken on walks and taught new things. Meredith needs an indoor home.
