Free parenting workshops: ‘Stop Defiance and Disrespect’ | Families
The GRADD Community Collaboration for Children (CCC) regional network will present two free parenting workshops — “Stop Defiance and Disrespect: Eliminate Power Struggles and Sibling Fights” — on April 10 and 11.
Noted national behavioral consultant Kirk Martin and his son Casey will share first-hand experiences, humor and practical advice for both parents and children.
They will address topics such as getting kids off video games without a fight and creating stress-free mornings, homework times and bedtimes.
The events will take place at the Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) Blandford Lecture Hall (4800 New Hartford Road) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 11.
The workshops are free and open to the public, and registration is not required. A video preview is available at www.CelebrateCalm.com.
Funded through the Kentucky Cabinet for Health & Family Services, CCC provides community-based resources that promote the safety, well-being, strength and stability of children and families, while encouraging awareness and prevention of child abuse and/or neglect.
