OFD to get defibrillators thanks to grant | News
The City of Owensboro Fire Department has received a $10,000 grant from Owensboro Medical Health System to procure nine Cardiac Science G3 Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs).
The AED units will be mobile with the Owensboro Police Department, at our major parks and rotated seasonally through high volume sporting areas such as Waymond Morris Park in the fall and city pools in the summer.
The new AEDs are fully automatic, including cues for how and when to start CPR, compressions, and when to administer breaths.
