Western KY counties deal with icy conditions | News
DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE)- In Daviess County, roads are fairly clear, but there are some problems and slick spots that you need to watch out for as you head out.
Dispatch in Daviess County told 14 News Wednesday morning that main roads are clear, but some of the secondary roads are slick.
There also haven't been any reports of major accidents due to those slippery road conditions.
Daviess County Schools are also closed Wednesday.
In Ohio County, Dispatch tells 14 News the roads just look wet, but some of those bridges and overpasses are slick.
No reports of anything major have come in there since last night's accident that shut down the Green River Bridge for a little while.
Just as a reminder, Ohio County Schools are closed today and there is no preschool.
The blood drive set to take place at Beaver Dam Elementary is also canceled for today.
Moving to our east in Hancock County, Dispatch hasn't had any reports of major accidents and says the state was out last night treating the roads.
There was one slideoff due to road conditions Wednesday morning, but no injuries were reported.
Like the other counties, main roads are pretty clear, but you need to watch out for those secondary roads.
Schools there are also closed for the day.
