OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE)- A Daviess County woman has pled not guilty on child pornography charges, but that doesn't mean authorities are letting her out of jail.
25-year-old Sarah Cox was arraigned in Daviess County Circuit Court around 8:30 Thursday morning.
She was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month on 40 counts related to child pornography.
Back when she was arrested about two months ago, Cox faced over 1,000 counts.
On Thursday morning, Cox's attorney told the court she was not a flight risk, but the prosecution disagreed, citing her time spent in England as a nanny there.
The judge sided with the prosecution deciding not to release Cox from jail.
In November, authorities took a computer and external hard drive from Cox's Pennbrooke Drive home to the Kentucky State Police forensic lab for examination.
According to police, Cox worked in childcare and was a professionally trained nanny.
She also worked at daycares and learning services in the Owensboro area.
If your children were around Cox and you'd still like to contact police with concerns, call Detective Jason Pagan at 270-685-3927.
Her pre-trial conference is now set for February 19th.
