OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE)- It's the deadline for incoming freshmen at Kentucky Wesleyan College to send in all of their materials for a special scholarship.
The Center for the Sciences on Kentucky Wesleyan's Campus just off of Frederica Street is a place where students who apply for the scholarship might be spending a lot of their time.
The STEM scholarship is for students who are interested in science, technology, engineering, or math.
You can pursue degrees in those subjects ranging from biology to zoology.
Kentucky Wesleyan started this program to help increase the number of graduates in the STEM fields.
These need-based scholarships are worth up to $6,000 and are given to academically promising students.
They're renewable each year, as long as the students keep a strong GPA.
If you're not able to make the deadline this year, don't worry.
The program will run until the spring semester of 2017.
Just like almost all scholarships, there are several forms that you need to complete.
