OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE)- Owensboro business and restaurant owners will learn how to grow and expand with a program that takes place Monday morning.
Small businesses and local restaurants are huge parts of downtown Owensboro's economic success.
To help keep them strong, a special Small Town Merchant Program will be held.
Everything starts at 8 a.m. in the Small Business Development Center, which is located in the Chase Bank Building downtown.
Business and restaurant owners will get free training on how to stay relevant and even improve how they operate every day.
A few businesses will actually be chosen for free, 90-minute evaluations at their locations.
Those will take a closer look at how to attract customers, merchandising, pricing, and much more.
National retail specialist Marc Willson will offer his suggestions at the event this morning.
He'll also be in charge of conducting and scheduling those evaluations for the businesses that are chosen.
A free breakfast will also be served at the program, but it's also just a good opportunity to help continue business growth in Owensboro.
