Special Valentine's Day dinner set for tonight in Owensboro | News

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE)- The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden will hold one of its most popular annual events to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Tonight at 6 p.m., a special Valentine's Day candlelight dinner will be held at the Garden's Cottage. 

This year, everyone who attends will get to enjoy dinner and the Orchid Show, which opened last weekend.

The wine and cheese appetizer starts at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served an hour later at 7 p.m.

Here's a look at what's on the menu. 

You and your valentine will get to enjoy things like beef tenderloin, roasted asparagus, and red velvet cake.

The entire evening costs $50 per person, and reservations are strongly recommended.

It's a popular event, and tends to fill up fast, but sometimes there are a couple of openings if you're looking for a last-minute dinner idea that goes a little bit further than the typical Valentine's Day date.
