Romp fest announces lineup | News

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE)- The lineup for Owensboro's Romp Festival has been released.

This year, Merle Haggard will be the headline act.

Also performing will be the Punch Brothers and the Carolina Chocolate Drops.

This will be the 10th year for the festival, which was named Event of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association last fall.

Organizers say there's one reason why Romp consistently draws in large crowds.

"A little bit for everybody, people of all ages," says Chris Langdon, Romp organizer. "We have kids activities, people, you know, can bring mom, dad, grandma, uncles, everybody. You can have fun with the family all day long and party well into the night."
