One Daviess County teacher got the surprise of a lifetime on Thursday.
"I love you, I love your family, I love your friends. I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you," says Todd Bevil down on one knee. "Will you marry me?"
Third grade teacher Heather Ford was shocked to take off her blindfold after a Valentine's Day Game to find her boyfriend, Todd Bevil down on one knee.
Bevil coordinated the surprise proposal, which took place at Meadow Lands Elementary School where Ford teaches.
Ford says this is a Valentine's Day that she'll never forget.
"It shocked me, because, like I said, when I talked to him this morning, he was on his way to work, and I never dreamed he'd be here at school, and then he was down on one knee, and I was like 'Oh my Gosh' and I think my heart stopped for a period of time," says Ford.
The two have been dating for about a year and a half, but say they've never talked about getting married or picking out rings.
