Owensboro building free workout center | News
If you need a place to work out for free, Owensboro Health is building one.
Crews are installing exercise stations along the mile and a half walking trail at the new hospital.
Some of the stations have equipment to raise your heart rate while other stations have equipment to strengthen muscles and bones.
"Say you're just a member of the community and you live close by or you work close by, you can drive out and get your walk in and your strength training in about 30 minutes," says Isaac Coffey, OHS Manager of Health and Fitness.
The walkway and exercise stations will be open in June when the new hospital is set to open.
