Assault call at wild party leads to multiple arrests | News

DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE)- The Daviess County Sheriff's Office says multiple people were arrested overnight at a party in Whitesville, KY after responding to an assault call.
Deputies say it happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 8000 block of Ward Rd. in Whitesville.
While on the way to the scene deputies were informed by dispatch of reports that the suspects, 21-year-old Chandler Curry and 23-year-old James Hinton were threatening people with a rifle and shotgun.
Officials say when deputies arrived at the scene the alleged assault victim told them he had been punched, kicked and stomped by Curry and Hinton.
Deputies say Curry and Hinton were arrested on assault charges. Curry was also charged with criminal trespassing.
Officials say the incident occurred in the presence of alcohol and marijuana and that a rifle and shotgun were found near the marijuana.
Deputies arrested the homeowner, 20-year-old Allen Burnette, on a charge of possession of marijuana while armed.
Authorities say a juvenile present was also cited for possession of alcohol by a minor and released.
The alleged assault victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
