ATHENA Award to be handed out Thursday | News
A special award will be presented Thursday afternoon in Owensboro.
The ATHENA Award will be given to a community member at the annual awards lunch.
It will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Owensboro Christian Church on New Hartford Road.
The award is given to someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, devotes time to the community, and has helped women reach their full potential.
The ATHENA Award will be presented by Girls Incorporated and the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce.
Past winners include Cherri Lolley, Marianne Smith Edge, Vicki Stogsdill, Jane Noble, Virginia Braswell, Jackie Addington Glover, Brenda Clayton, Jean Wells, Lamone Mayfield, the Ursuline Sisters, Martha Clark, and Patti Rayburn.
