Public can ask questions of Owensboro Superintendent candidates | News
The Owensboro Public Schools Board of Education will host a Candidate Public Forum, on April 30 starting at 6:30 PM at the Owensboro Central Office located at 450 Griffith Avenue.
Each of the three finalist candidates will have 35-40 minutes to respond to questions (see below to submit questions) pertaining to all school district operational areas. The School Board hopes to have a wide range of community stakeholders in attendance, including parents, students, school staff, city government officials, business persons, and interested citizens.
The candidates are Nick Brake, President/CEO Owensboro Economic Development Corporation, Rob Clayton, Principal South Oldham Middle School and Mark Owens, Director of Personnel, Daviess County Public Schools.
To further solicit input from these stakeholders, the Board invites the community to submit questions via Kentucky Association of School Administrator (KASA) at firstname.lastname@example.org for possible use during the forum. Following the forum, the Board welcomes feedback from those attending through the KASA website.
The next steps of the Board will be to review information generated by the screening committee, consider input from public forum, carry out comprehensive background checks and conduct personal interviews with the three finalists.
