Please open up your heart and homes and help save a precious animal! The dogs you see in this video have until Monday October 15.  If we do not find a place for them to go before then, they will have to be put to sleep.

Some of them have been here since June and some since July and their time has run out simply because we have no more space.

ABBIE was turned over when her owner could no longer keep her. This is the second time this has happened to her. She is housebroken, great with kids, other dogs and cats. She is the perfect dog. She is also spayed and microchipped. She's about 12 years old and needs a good indoor home. She does good with other dogs and cats. This is not the place for an old girl like her to get sick.Call Daviess County Animal Control in Owensboro KY at 270-685-8275 or send an e-mail to dcacanimals@yahoo.com  SHELTER IS FULL!! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22644773

Urgent! Help save Daviess County animals

The Daviess County Animal Shelter has several dogs who've been handed a tough break and need homes quickly because of shelter overcrowding.

Sad Keelo really needs a home. He is seven years old and suffering from depression. He is a great dog but his owner wasn't home enough to spend time with him, dropped him at the shelter and never came back. You have to see this poor boy! He will break your heart. He is good with kids and seems to get along fine with other dogs.  Read more about him here:  http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23642888

Meet the animals at the Owensboro Humane Society on Saturday

Meet the animals at the Owensboro Humane Society on Saturday

The adoption team at the Owensboro Humane Society will be at their facility from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The humane society says that you can meet the animals, tour their facility, and learn about upcoming events.

If you are looking for classes, they say you can sign up for canine training classes, spay/ neuter clinics, or speak to their dog trainer after her class about any problems you may be having with your dog.

If you are a current volunteer or would like to volunteer with the humane society, they say they would love to have you.
