VIDEO: Can you help these animals find homes?

A picture speaks a thousand words. If only they could speak to tell you how scared and lonley they really are. We are their voice and they are telling us they NEED you! Open your hearts and your home if you have room, they promise to be devoted to you and love you unconditionally. Just one more chance.

The shelter is overcrowded. Please if you can foster, adopt or rescue PLEASE they need you NOW..

Daviess County Animal Control in Owensboro KY has over 100 dogs at the shelter and just as many cats. The exessive heat is making things worse for the animals. We currently take animals from two counties and our shelter is in a critical state. We have over 100 big dogs, little dogs, pure-breds, seniors and more and just as many cats.

Pets in the Park rescheduled

The Old Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance ‘Pets in the Park’ event scheduled for Saturday, June 30 in Germantown Park HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO FORECASTED EXTREME HEAT.  The event is rescheduled for Saturday, July 21 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Winston is LOST

WINSTON is lost!! He ran out the door on Triplett heading towards the hospital. Very scared of people so he will continue to try to run. Walks with 3 legs. Very sweet dog!! . We are praying he is found safe.  If you've seen him, contact:

Daviess Co. Animal Shelter full; foster and permanent homes needed

The Daviess County Animal Shelter remains near capacity and is in need of foster families who can provide at least a temporary home for the many dogs, cats and kittens in our care.

We are doing as much as we can to save them, but as of now there are no open cages.

We have litters of kittens and a variety of dogs available for adoption.  You can see them here.  If you can help by rescuing one even temporarily, please let us know ASAP!

County animal shelter packed; dogs in danger

Daviess County Animal Shelter NEEDS YOU!

The Daviess County Animal Shelter is seeing five to ten new dogs enter the facility each day and has run out of room.  We're looking for individuals and families willing to 'foster' dogs, we need rescue groups and, of course, anyone who can adopt a large, loving pet.  Unfortunately, we have to euthanize to make room.  Please hurry.
