Now through November 20, KFC restaurants around the world, including those in the Tri-State are raising money to feed the hungry as part of Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief campaign.
According to Owner John Foreman, construction on the 'new' Old Hickory Bar-B-Q Restaurant is going well. Foreman tells 14 News' Dave Kirk that the work hould be finished by October.
They're adding on another dining room a little smaller than the current one.
The goal is to expand so they can host more events.
Old Hickory will also separate its carry out from dine-in space adding convenience for customers.
It's called Farm to Table, Vine to Glass-- an event in Owensboro created to help local farmers and the community. This year, four restaurants will serve up a hot meal to get you thinking about alternative shopping and eating options in your backyard. It's a push to get you thinking more about exactly where your food comes from.
Every Tuesday from June 7 thru August 30, meals will be served showcasing locally grown foods at one of four local restaurants.
