Long time DC cross country coach Tony Rowe stepping down | Schools
Daviess County High School, friends and the current cross country team will be hosting a retirement reception in honor of Coach Tony Rowe, two-time national coach of the year from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013. The reception will be held in the Auxiliary Gym at Daviess County High School.
Coach Rowe is retiring from head cross country coaching, but will remain head track & field coach at Daviess County and move to an assistant cross country coaching position next fall. Rowe has coached 8 state cross country champions, 8 state championship cross country teams and 25 teams that have finished in the top 5 at the state meet. Rowe’s DC cross country teams have won 28 regional championships. Rowe is a published author and teaches Health and Physical Education at DCHS.
