Owensboro Catholic's Becca Greenwell set a national high school record Monday night at Hancock County when she connected on 17 3-pointers.  Those baskets accounted for all of her school record 51 points as the Aces beat Whitesville Trinity 99-35 in theThird Region All "A" Classic semifinal.

The game was played at Hancock County High School and her effort has gotten plenty of attention.  She was showcased on Yahoo Sports and USA Today.  She also received congratulatory Tweets from Ashley Judd and Rex Chapman, a pretty fair scorer himself.

She played on the 2011 USA Basketball Women's U16 National Team and is one of the nation's top recruits.  Greenwell has committed to play basketball at Duke next year.  She's played on Catholic's varsity since her 7th grade year.

Thursday night, she'll lead the Aces into the finals against McLean County and stands just three points away from 3,000 for her career, despite missing her junior season with a knee injury.
